Summer in Humor is back

Summer vacation is a time for games and entertainment, but only with us important topics such as ecology, culture and art are presented in the form of a game, with a sense of humor and in a language understandable to children. A major focus of this year’s all-day children’s program is the image of the cat in art.

The activities will trace the depiction of this fluffy pet and symbol of Gabrovo (no tail, of course) from the Stone Age, through antiquity, to the present day. Participants will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge, but also to practice their skills with an extremely diverse arsenal of techniques and tricks. The short lectures and practical assignments on art history will be led by Boryana Dyankova*.

Summer in Humor will take place over two consecutive weeks in July: 15th to 20th and 22nd to 26th, with activities starting between 08:00 and 09:00 in the morning and ending at 17:00 each day.

Intended for children between 7 and 11 years old. The organizers have prepared for the participants amazing experiences in the museum and the Park of Humor, filled with creative workshops and games aimed at acquiring new skills and knowledge.

The Museum team has many years of extensive experience in implementing educational programs for children. In this activity, we follow a special mission – through humor, we inspire and encourage children to experience joy, think critically, express themselves freely and build community.

The price for a child’s participation is BGN 120 for five days or BGN 24 per day. A second child in the family benefits from a 20% discount. The group consists of a maximum of 10 children, and the minimum number for the program is 6 children. It is recommended to participate in both weeks of Summer in Humor. To guarantee the place, the entry fee is paid up to two days after registration at the museum box office. We provide filtered water and fruit, and parents prepare food for their children according to their individual tastes.
